Big Thanks!

As we (The Man and I) are new to the blogging world it's definitely a treat to get to interact with other bloggers and I really appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of everyone we've interacted with so far in the blogosphere! Yesterday Kristin from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia featured our Alabama house on her Feature Friday post. I definitely have to thank Vanessa At The Picket Fence for introducing me to her blog!

Ok so a week or two ago I was snooping around on someone's blog and I found a post about the Celadon warehouse in North Charleston. I searched and searched blogs this morning trying to remember where I had seen it but had no luck. If by some crazy chance this mystery blogger reads this please let me know! I would love to link to you! Anyway, the warehouse is only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm so we are venturing over there this morning. I'll post some photos of what we find when we get back!

  1. Congratulations Rachel on your feature! Isn't Kristin wonderful...so is Vanessa too for that matter (even though I might be just a tad biased) ;) We are so glad to have gotten to meet you! Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. That might have been me. I like to go out to the Celadon warehouse because Celadon is so nice but the prices aren't. Got a fantastic coffee table and seagrass rug there for cheap. You definitely have to go there several times as the stock changes all the time. Hope you had fun there this morning! Have you checked out GDC Home yet? GREAT store. Their clearance center is at the Savannah highway location.

  3. I was in Charleston the first week of December. I am so disappointed that I didn't know about this place! Since I live 3000 miles away I just have to dream :(

  4. Just came by from Kristin's blog...your Alabama home reno is amazing. I especially like the kitchen. It would be difficult to leave it after not really being able to enjoy all that hard work. I can't believe how much you were able to buy that home for!!!!! Wow. Homes here in California are soooo expensive. Our home cost four times, nearly five, that much and it is only 2270 sq. ft one story. I will look forward to seeing your new home.

  5. just found your site via A Diamond in the Stuff and am enjoying browsing around the articles. live in Charleston as well and just started blogging myself.

love to read anything home related and even better that you are local! i am all about finding a deal and i agree with southbel, you have to go often to the Celadon warehouse to find the best deals. i have 2 slipcover couches and a dining room buffet from their retail store when they had markdowns or sales.

  6. Southbel: Thanks so much for the info! I thought it was your blog and I hunted for the post but apparently not hard enough.
